I am not on the Autodesk payroll.yet, haha. If you are or employ dummies, retaining resellers may be wise. In my opinion, if you have intelligent users, resellers are a waste of money. Mastercam and Solidworks force you to use resellers per my experience which is where most of the cost comes in. Fusion 360 can be bought directly from Autodesk right now for $668 or so for 3 years. When AutoCAD entered the market in 1982, CAD stations cost a quarter of a million dollars, so AutoCAD selling at 1000 per seat in 1984 was dirt cheap. Solidworks Standard will cost you $4k up front plus $1k per year. All of those numbers are from experience, not research. A comparatively functional seat of Mastercam will cost you $13k up front plus $1.5k per year and if you want help with a post, they may charge you $3.5k. Their five axis toolpaths ( and posts) are not production ready. It's not common in the industry and it's not nearly as powerful as something like mastercam or its big brother, HSM. Fusion360 is not a good multi-axis CAM solution. ![]() It does most of what those two softwares do for a true fraction of the cost. Fusion has a lot of great CAM features for a fraction of the cost. On top of its functionality, it doesn't have locked posts like Mastercam, you aren't forced to work with a reseller like Mastercam and Solidworks. I am just beginning to move into Fusion 360 from an in depth recent history of Solidworks and MasterCam usage and management and can advise that Fusion 360 is a very good product. Back forty coupon, Cultura chicano, Neurogen e price per tablet An ninh chau duc brvt. If Autodesk Sales is telling you HSMWorks is being phased out, I'd take it as gospel.
